A subtle and touching tale of liberation, following a protagonist on the path to self-discovery.On the day of her sixtieth birthday, Josy refuses to blow out the candles on her cake. Her bags are packed. She's come to a decision: she's going to win back her freedom by taking off in her old Volkswagen minibus! Even if it means leaving behind her husband and family. In a state of shock, they all blame her for making such a selfish move. But is it really so selfish to listen to that little voice deep within? Josy soon finds support among new friends who have faced similar scorn and incomprehension from family and society... But will that be enough to stop her from leaving once more? Perhaps a newfound love can help her find her way...

Ingrid Chabbert was born in 1978 in southern France. She has written stories ever since she was a child, and playing with words to explain life to young readers has become her passion. Her first children's book was published in 2010, and since then she has written nearly a hundred books. Over the past several years she has increasingly turned toward comics, with her most recent work including "Elma, une vie d'ours" (Dargaud; "Elma - A Bear's Life," Europe Comics), alongside artist Léa Mazé.

Aimée de Jongh (1988) a publié sa première bande dessinée « Aimée TV » à l'âge de 18 ans. Elle a été découverte par plusieurs maisons d'édition et de presse, pour lesquelles elle travaille aujourd'hui encore. Aimée a suivi sa formation en film d'animation dans les écoles de Beaux Arts de Rotterdam et de Gand. Entre-temps, elle a signé une bonne dizaine de séries de bandes dessinées et a collaboré sur cinq films d'animation. Sa série bd quotidienne Snippers (Coloc' en français) paraît dans un journal hollandais et dans un journal suisse ; en Belgique, ce sont surtout ses bandes dessinées pour jeunes enfants, comme Kito & Boris et Slimme Pim qui l'ont fait connaître. En 2014, Aimée s'est attelée à son premier roman graphique, dont elle signe aussi le scénario : Le retour de la bondrée (titre original : De terugkeer van de wespendief). Cet album lui a valu de percer à l'international. Cette bande dessinée a été très bien accueillie et a remporté le prestigieux Prix Saint-Michel pour le meilleur album de bande dessinée de 2014-2015. Le livre sera publié en français par Dargaud et par la suite porté à l'écran en 2016. En 2018, elle collabore avec Zidrou au scénario et publie un deuxième roman graphique chez Dargaud, L'obsolescence programmée de nos sentiments.
