Résumé
Hans Raeder lost both his father and his younger brother in 1918. To cope with the pain he, like Germany itself, takes refuge in fantasies—not only the fantasies of others, but also those of his own creation. In a country rebuilding itself on myths and deception, Hans is prepared to do anything to become the idol he worships: a fighter pilot... even if it means turning into a Nazi monster. What he doesn't realize is that his destiny is linked to another young pilot, on the other side of the Atlantic...

Patrice Buendia, born in France in 1971, began writing his first scripts during childhood. In 2003, he finally broke through with his first published work, and the list quickly grew, with "Thomas Silane" (Bamboo, 2004), "Le Juge sans terre" (Glénat, 2009), and "Les Enragés du Normandie-Niémen" (Zéphyr, 2010). Over the years he has also earned the chance to contribute to such legendary aviation series as "Buck Danny" (Dupuis) and "Tanguy & Laverdure" (Dupuis). Most recently, he signed on for an ambitious four-author project titled "L'Aigle à deux têtes" (Zephyr/Dupuis; "Wings of War," Europe Comics), teaming with artist Damien Andrieu on the "Adler" subseries, which recounts the story of a Nazi fighter pilot during WWII; his life is destined to intersect with that of an American B-17 pilot, whose story is told in parallel in "Eagle."

Damien Andrieu was born in France in 1990. From an early age he grew interested in illustration and history, particularly aviation. He studied graphic design for three years before switching course, deciding that he preferred to pursue illustration. He inquired with Zephyr Publishing, and very soon found a home for his talents, influenced by American comics and cinematic narration. Andrieu worked for the publisher from 2011 to 2013, creating a number of illustrations and covers and learning much along the way about creating comics. This led to his biggest break: in 2017, he signed on for an ambitious four-author project titled "L'Aigle à deux têtes" ("Wings of War," Europe Comics), teaming with scriptwriter Patrice Buendia on the "Adler" trilogy, which recounts the story of a Nazi fighter pilot during WWII; his life is destined to intersect with that of an American B-17 pilot, whose story is told in parallel in "Eagle."
