David W. Shenk is the founder emeritus member of the Christian-Muslim Relations Team for Eastern Mennonite Missions. His particular focus is on bearing witness to the peace of Christ in a world of religious and ideological pluralism. He is a professor and author or coauthor of twenty books, including A Muslim and a Christian in Dialogue, Journeys of the Muslim Nation and the Christian Church,Teatime in Mogadishu and Christian. Badru Kateregga (auteur)

Badru D. Kateregga, MA (London), was born in the Muslim community of Butambala in Uganda. He was a lecturer and head of the department of Islamic Studies at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. In 1978, he became a lecturer in Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions at Kenyatta University Nairobi, Kenya, where he was subsequently appointed professor of Islamic and Oriental Studies. In 1986, Professor Kateregga was commissioned to be appointed ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a post he held for more than ten years. During this time, he rose to the rank of Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 1997, he retired from the diplomatic service and returned to Makerere University as a visiting professor in the Department of Religious Studies where he lectures in Islamics and inter-religious dialogue. In 1999, Kateregga established Kampala University and more recently the East African University in Nairobi. Vice Chancellor Kateregga's vision is that these universities provide high quality university training within an Islamic worldview, with graduates being equipped to serve God faithfully in modern society. Professor Kateregga has written many publications in Islamics and inter-religious dialogue studies. He has been honored and decorated by the government of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia with the highest honor, King Abdul-Aziz Medal, First Class.
