When Joris Chamblain was born in 1984, he landed in a pile of Mickey Mouse comics, and not long after that, he decided he'd make a career of it. His first comics series, "Les Carnets de Cerise" ("Cici's Journal") was an immediate success upon its launch, leading to 20 international editions and almost two million copies sold. In addition, he's written scripts for several young readers' series, published by various publishers. He's even created scripts for two volumes of the celebrated "Yakari" series, and, in 2022, began work on a Mickey Mouse story for Glénat. His childhood dream truly has come true... Upon his return from a book fair, he crossed paths with his former French teacher, Pascal Ruter, who had since become a successful novelist. Joris decided to read Pascal's first book, "Le Coeur en braille," and instantly fell in love! He decided to adapt it into a three-part graphic novel with the help of illustrator Anne-lise Nalin. The first part was published by Dargaud in 2023 (Europe Comics 2023, for the English edition, entitled "My Heart in Braille").
