After studying history and architecture, Daria Schmitt worked for various entertainment companies, where she designed sets, created storyboards, and produced visuals for events. For several years, she held classes in a school of applied arts, before contributing to the creation of an architecture and museography agency.During this time, she also started working on comics, and published her first project with Casterman. She went on to produce four albums with this publisher. In 2018, she received a special Artémisia Prize for her illustrations in "Ornithomaniacs." In 2022, "Le Bestiaire du crépuscule" (The Monstrous Dreams of Mr. Providence, Europe Comics), an extraordinary homage to H.P. Lovecraft and fantasy literature, was published in the prestigious Aire Libre collection... Daria Schmitt is now fully dedicated to comics, illustration, and concept art. She lives and works in Paris.
