Rod Gavalan is the account executive for the Transcendor Sales Corporation, makers of appliances. His job, given him by Transcendor president Graydon Downs: to land the Value Garrison chain. For Transcendor, it could mean $15,000,000 more in sales; for Rod Gavalan, it could mean wealth and independence. The single key to landing the account is Stan Garrison, whom a private report said is much given to "masochistic fantasies." Gavalan's Dutch contact, the blonde and beautiful Mistress Hedwig, would be perfect for the job, Rod figured.
