    DAV PILKEY est un auteur reconnu et un illustrateur laureat du prix Caldecott. Il a commence a ecrire des livres alors qu’il etait encore au primaire et qu'il se faisait souvent punir pour ses farces. Ses enseignants n’appreciaient pas du tout ses bandes dessinees. C’est en deuxieme annee qu’il a invente son personnage le plus celebre : le capitaine Bobette. L’un de ses enseignants lui a dit un jour : « Tu ferais mieux de commencer a prendre les choses un peu plus serieusement, mon garcon, parce que tu ne pourras pas passer le restant de tes jours a ecrire des livres farfelus. » Heureusement pour nous, il n’a pas ecoute ses enseignants. En plus de creer Les aventures du capitaine Bobette, il a ecrit de nombreux autres livres aussi passionnants les uns que les autres qui ne manquent pas de derider les jeunes moins portes sur la lecture.     Dan Santat is the New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend, which won the prestigious Randolph Caldecott Medal in 2015. He is also the creator of the acclaimed graphic novel The Aquanaut, and his graphic memoir, A First Time for Everything, was the 2023 National Book Award Winner for Young People's Literature. His art is featured in numerous children's books, including Dav Pilkey's Ricky Ricotta series as well as picture books by Henry Winkler and Jake Gyllenhaal.
