Steve Baker was born in Rouen in 1979. He spent his childhood with his nose buried in "Pif Gadget" rather than his schoolbooks, and his hero was Léonard, brought to life by Turk and De Groot. He ended up graduating from the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels in 2002, after which he moved to Paris, and began churning out projects: "Voltige & Ratatouille" (Milan), alongside Pascal Jousselin; "Les démons de Dunwich" (Vents d'ouest), with Joël Jurion; and the rambunctious "La vie en slip," which would eventually land with Dupuis. Over the years the list has only continued to grow. He is an artist of great versatility with a dynamic and energetic style that brings to life action and humor with great verve. His most recent work includes "Billie Bang Bang" (Le Lombard; Europe Comics in English), alongside author Théa Rojzman, relating the misadventures of 8-year-old Billie and her (not quite) imaginary friend Bonkers.
